Softail oil tank into a Knucklehead question

I am putting an electric start on a knucklehead and am using an early Softail oil tank for the larger battery. Can anybody tell me what the rubber isomer mounts to that I have circles in the picture? It is on the left bottom of the tank. The Softail exploded view I have does not show a bracket there. oil tank.jpg

    Jerry,

It mounts to a weldment tab on the frame of a stock softail.

    Hope this helps,

Jerry, if those mounts look or feel dry or hard replace them before using, especially on a rigid frame. Tedd sells some that are not round but much stiffer & more durable than those round ones. There also differences in the quality of the round ones.
