      My list, Jerry,..

      Says: 1933 Harley VLD, 1934-1936 Harley V, VL, VLD, 1937-1939 Harley WL,WLD.

It looks like a later bowl,... And an Indian HS needle.

      And the nozzle looks OHV.

Dear All, the M2 was the first Linkert used on the Harley VLs in late 1932, after the pot metal Scheblers. It was also used on the 1933 VLs and followed by the M21 for 1934. The example in the picture has the later bowl with the drain, and both needles look incorrect, so you'll just be buying the stripped body, but of course it would work on anything that takes the 1 1/4 inch 3 bolt carburetor. Most of the literature is incorrect, as Harley offered the Linkert as a Schebler replacement and airbrushed out the history by saying 'fits 1930 up' and so on. This starts as early as the 1930-40 Harley parts book, a popular reprint with wrong info.

Dear Tom, I would say the one on the left with the early flat topped screw with the point at the bottom to locate the spring. Then the middle one, and then what I would say is the wartime style with the flat topped screw replaced with a cheaper fixing. I wouldn't like to call the date changes and would use the middle low speed needle on the M2. The flat topped screw has part number 1153-11 and the 1930-40 parts book says it is used on later 1927-33 61 and 74 twins, 1930-33 DLD and RLD, and later 1933-40 all twins except 1940 61 inch.
