What sort of oil does a 1974 Aermacchi Sprint use? And don’t say olive oil. Anybody know?

I prefer 15-40 diesel oil in my '69. I have used 20-50 as well as straight 30 and 50, but the best overall for me has been 15-40. Bike doesn't overheat, gears are quiet, top end is happy.

I also noticed the vibration seems less on 15-40. With my last change, I swapped to a synthetic 15-40 just to see. I only got 50 miles in before winter, but she seemed very happy with it.
