Seat post for Harley?

    Seat post for Harley?

    I have 1" seat post 23"overall that I thought was Indian but the lower section has two 4.3" springs with a 2.5" spring in the middle.I believe Indians from 36-53 had three 4.3 springs on the lower section.Top hinge tab is rounded not square.
    Is this possibly a Harley seat post?

      That does sound like it could be Indian but a picture would really help. I have encountered some seatposts that I have never been able to ID.

          Harley used oblong connector that is round on top.
          Indian used rectangular connector that is flat on top.
          Various spring sets were used on both types.

              Thanks for that info 1950panhead.I guess its Harley as the link is rounded on top.
              Thanks also For reply Jerry,if I wind up taking a pic it will be to put it on ebay so I can buy an Indian post now that I know its Harley.
