Fuel additives

I always try to run all the fuel out of my older MCs but I know that I don't get it all. Is there a real good additive to use like Seafoam or something else? Thanks Mike

Duffey, could you share detailis of your seafoam nightmares ? i just started using the stuff last winter,as i've heard a number of people extol it's virtues. Thanks !

Not just mine,another shop had me come over to help start a dead bike this spring[he was very ill]-it started and ran for a short distance and died on road with a fried ignition module-we replaced the module and it would not start until all fuel was removed and even the fuel in the cylinders had to be burned out.[sea foam]I see many no starts each year because they think fuel can be cured of old age.I suck the fuel out of my Panhead each spring before attempting to start and mix small amounts of it in each tank of my old beater car till gone.My servicar can start and run on about any crap.

Use Carb Defender and Startron as Startron helps water to flow with gas and stay in small droplets and Carb Defender helps protect parts.

you could build a retort still . Take fresh gas and distill the ethanol off. You would need a pair of brass ones to try this.

A hot water bath would do. The trick is finding the right kitchenware in the dumpsters for a reflux condenser.

My solution is very easy. I just drain the tanks completely and empty the carb bowls on my bikes and start fresh each year.... I never have springtime fuel problems any more.
