I am looking for the green and red jewels used on seats and saddlebags during the '40s, does anyone out there have a source? Thanks Mike

V-Twin has them... but they are just not quite... right. Then again, it's been 7 years since I bought any, so maybe the quality of the reproductions has increased substantially.
There is a guy in the AMCA magazine who advertises as well and his pictures look really good. But I've not ordered from him so can't say for sure.
Also, eBay has lots of originals, but don't search under motorcycle... look under bicycle or bicycle glass reflector. Or search on old bicycle mudflap, etc. Not just on the jewels themselves. Lots if times it's easier to buy some old jeweled item and recycle than it is to find old jewels individually... they are getting spendy! You can find examples new, newish or 'patinated.' Depending on how you want to match your project.
Cheers,
Sirhr
