HD sport replacement sliding gear. help needed

Hello,

I'm in the need for a replacement sliding gear for my HD flat twin sport. I've been looking locally for a workshop to reproduce one based on my worn example, but not able to find any suitable vendor.
So I am turning to the board for help.

I would be grateful if anyone could recomend a workshop anywhere on the globe, who could help me produce a quality part for a reasonable cost.

Martin, The word reasonable is going to be a hard on this one. First it has to be machined, sent out to a gear hobber (Unless they do it in house?) Then the center is going to have to be EDMed. Then the final hit in the pocket book is the heat treater. Contact Mark Masa on this forum, maybe he's got something in the shed. Bob L

If you do not have any luck please contact me as I made 3 when I needed one for my fathers bike that I am now riding in South Australia
as they said Gear Hobbed the gear teeth, Spline was EDM to fit shaft and dogs machined and then hardened.
one piece of information you may be able to help me with is what is the thrust race in the cover over the chain sprocket is for as I do not have one and can not work out what it is for???
the trust race in the timing cover is for stopping clutch from moving when disengaging clutch which had also been missing, but is now there, but left side has me stumped what it does???

Just for reference, what year is the bike? There should be a four digit number preceded by a Letter on transmissions (before 1925.) What do you have?

All those HD flat twins were built before 1925 - they were built from 1919 to 1923 as far as I know.

I have a carburetor for that model including an air intake (intake in rought shape) - if someone needs/wants it I would swap it for a 101 Scout carburetor (DLX51 or DLX64), maybe something else I can use or sell it.

I am not that knowledgeable regarding the engine, I get guiding from a friend working on this. I bet someone else here on the forum can answer on you on the thrust bearing (does it keep the assembly from moving once clutch is engaged?)
