  • Insanely beautiful original parts that I couldn't resist posting a picture of...

Hey all - nobody in my daily life can appreciate these parts in any way, so I had to post a picture of them here. I know everyone knows what they are and how hard they are to find in this condition. I am like a kid at Christmas, so I wanted to share.

    Cheers all,

Le'see, an OEM horn, a new '46 & later fork shock and kicker pedal, lying on a glass-topped table under a five fixture ceiling lamp? Nice score! And very artfully done; photographed in available light. Congrats!

Good scoop Jim! Isn't it weird how the rest of a household just can't make heads or tails of how excited we get when this stuff darkens our doorstep??

Sargehere - yes, and correct about the lamp, too!
c.o. - yep - my kids just looked at me like I was nuts, showing them this old "junk" - haha

I received an open mag for my 1912 project not long ago, my wife was utterly baffled as I lovingly turned this dirty rusty piece of metal over in my hands in awe of what I had just received, for me it's magical, good score by the way.

I can imagine how that felt, Dave. What a feeling looking down at the hunk of metal in your hands and feeling like you can't believe you are holding it! (And the people around you can't believe it either - because it looks like an old piece of junk to them!)
I won't forget my ex-wife saying - "please get that OUT of my kitchen!"
