  • VL seat post spring

Can anybody tell me if there is any adjustment to the spring tension on a VLD seat post ?? Seems like it is to soft.I weigh 210lbs and could just about bottom it out before going for a ride...I'm new to the VL's so be gentle on me. Thanks, B.Baker...

There is adjustment (post need to be removed to adjust) but at your weight I would recommend getting a heavy duty set of springs. They are easily available from most suppliers of 45 parts (same springs for VL) and show up as military surplus on eBay as well. The stock post is rated for a 150# rider, the heavy for 220#. People were much smaller in the '30s!

Just opened the latest issue of the club mag and the first ad I saw was for seat post springs for all models. Number listed was 440 458-8813, ask for Dave.
