  • palmers dash black out lens red and green.

hello, looking for a good way to remove the blackout plastic inserts on the backside of the red and green cateye lenses. the blackout plastic seems really stiff and i already put a small scratch on the backside in the frosting of the green lens. the lenses are nos and i didn't want to go any further as to destroy the lens. palmers book says to just remove the blackout insert, but as always, he doesn't go into any further detail(if your going to do it, do it right or don't do it at all)... also if i may, how can can i get this small scratch out on my green lens on the backside of the frosting. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks, len.

Sorry I can't help with blackout backing removal but if you know where there is another set of nos lenses, I could use a pair. Are you certain they are nos ? Reason I ask is....I believe the blackout backing was made of card board. Yours sounds more like plastic. Paps
