VD front fender removal

It appears that I need to remove the lower rockers to get the front fender off. If this is the case, How do I go about this. I new to these Harley's and my manuals haven't arrived yet. Thanks.


No worries folks, I noodled it out. Still a snug fit in the forks. I still open to advice on getting it back in there without scratching the new paint. Wrap it with some paper or cloth? A second set of hands would help.

Dear Bill, I remove the rockers like you, but my pals say a shop cloth and a twist does the trick when getting the front mudguard back. Remember the late forks are about 1/4" wider under the bridge, so getting the late mudguards into a bike fitted with the early forks is more of a struggle.
