  • need 45 wla dash base shield

I am looking for the dash base shield shown in the attached photograph. Could use two of them. Prefer oem or nos oem. Can't find a part number for it but I do know the dimensions and material. It is made up of the same paper material the round tube shields are made up of. Dimensions are 1-916" x 3-1/2" x 1/32" thick. Thanks, Paps

LOL.... You sound more like me Bro. Yeah...I just need that darn piece of dark paper that goes between the mil spec wla round cardboard shields. The arror points to it as it is placed within the base. You can see how it curves when in place between the round paper tube shields. I realize I can just make one up but I have been very dogmatic with this particular bike build, forbidding myself to use anything but oem or nos oem original parts on it. I sure do appreciate your attempt at helping me out though. Paps

Make a new one using part of a genuine H-D box. Problem solved.

nope---i think the type a shoe box is made of would be about right. i have a really old gasket board out of an old dealership somewhere and if i remember right it had some of those on it but i can't seem to find it yet. it had gaskets for taillights and tank emblems on it too

Dude, not to be a buttinski but are you ok? 192 over 106 is pretty steep.

Very sorry to hear about the young lady. I can't imagine the grief the family must be experiencing.

There is no such thing as a hi-jacked thread when it comes to the health of its' members Bro. I got a pumper issue myself but I ignore it to fate. One thing that works for me though is a feeling I place myself in during times of discomfort and uncertainty. I call it "MELLOW". I use this "MELLOW" to ward off stressful situations. It is amazing how stress will aggrevate such physical issues. I'm not talking about the kind of mellow found in the 60's era. I'm talking about taking things in stride type of "MELLOW". All things !
