45 solo,... when did the front fenders change??

Any idea when the front fenders changed on a 45 solo?
I've heard that when looking for a front fender (repro or orginal) for my 1937 WL I'd be looking for one from '34-39. Is that correct? I'm in need of a good fronje fender for my '37 WL and want to see about finding one.
