Maybe I don't have all the parts, but the kickstand I have just has a u-bolt to mount it. Does this go around the seat post tube? And where exactly does it go, doesn't look like there would be enough room to bolt it to the tube and drop the engine in afterwards? Oh, the joys of a basketcase!!

The hole in the kickstand mound slides over the front footboard support rod. the U bolt clamps around the frame tube above it.
