Cycleray Guide Vl Headlight?

Can any VL expert tell me whether this is a Harley headlight or something off a tractor or car? I know the 1931 to 34 motolamps has a focusing screw but have never seen a later "guide" lamp with one. It appears identical to the typical VL and later cycleray except for that focusing screw. Is it possible this was used only in early 1935 when Harley switched from John Brown Motolamp to Guide Cycleray?
