Dear Lippy, there are two VL front stands, the 1930-33 style and the 1934-36 one. Try Replicant Metals, who may have reproduced them or have originals.

Thanks again Steve. I’m trying to picture, in my mind and for my book drawings, how the front stand is attached to the forks and how the parts are assembled.

Thanks, I know you’re trying to help, but I have all those HD manuals that those images came from, plus all the parts catalogs of the 30’s. And I text and talk with Tom quite frequently. I just wanted pictures of the front stand mounted on a few VL’s. I’m learning in my confusion that the VL and RL’s attach to different rocker studs. Why would Harley do this? Any guesses out there? But thanks for your input.

Because RL and VL forks are different. On an RL the fender moves with the front leg so the stand has to be mounted on the front stud. A VL fender is stationary so the stand mounts on the stationary stud. Don't try to overthink it or re-design the wheel. Use the proper parts for YOUR application and disregards the other.
