Amount of oil needed to prime motor for Harley DL

Hope to have my 1929 motor running in near future. I have a VL and I am familiar with the oil priming process, however the DL crankcase is smaller, and I would guess the volume of priming oil would be less than for a VL. How many ounces of oil do you pump into a drained crankcase for a DL. The "Riders Handbook" only states number of pumps, not ounces. Thanks.

Dear Buster, a Harley hand pump in good condition pumps about 50 ml per stroke or a bit under two ounces. This is always worth checking on a fresh build by putting say three hand pumps into dry cases then draining them into a measuring jug.
