Seen on another site: Fitted on a M-51. Now maybe I could get that 1/4" clearance.

I did not find it in the on-line catalog when I looked
      Perhaps on "off menu" situation????

        I imagine, Paul,

Its probably a 3-D printout prototype using a plastic that wouldn't take fuel, but that's fine, I wouldn't use it with fuel.

I'll wait for the whole see-through carb, because only then can we investigate the idle/power transition: Upon reversal, does the idle gallery gurgle and stall, or always flush like a toilet? Perhaps instantly?

As we imagine it should, in a perfect world.

How did founders like Maldwyn Jones imagine it?
Were they extraordinary geniuses, or extremely lucky, or just both?

The leap from the HX to DLX is comparable to the leap to fuel injection.

I was thinking more along the lines of a small gold fish.

That would be cruel; A Siamese Fighting fish might last longer, Paul!

I would at least set it up with dyed mineral spirits on a controllable vibrator in a variety of angles, and study the slosh and bubbles inside.

It would also be illuminating to simulate acceleration with a shop vac, and see how much the fuel level actually drops, and how quickly it recovers.

Still, the mysterious nature of the idle circuit reversal would require a see-through body.

PS: How did they arrive at this design, barely improved until '66 or so, and how did they know what was happening inside?
