Good afternoon
This 1940 ULH flutter valve looks to me like the valve is missing it is now essentially just an orifice. I ran a piece of wire straight through. I have a re-pop flutter valve from Taiwan it has a small triangular tin plate inside. Everything I've been getting has been of very poor quality so I'm scared of it and am wondering if the original is better than this Chinese part? Any input would be appreciated. I believe timing chest vacuum should open the valve to evacuate the oil from around the breather tube and pressure from the timing chest should close it? One more question. How do you get that sucker out?
Thanks
