Vl ul valve cover seals

After being installed for 2 years my rubber band style VL valve cover seals are all but locked up. I am working some penetrating oil (kroil) down in the gap and now one will move 1/4” up…but this is a very time consuming chore just to slide the tube out of the way…..
Has anyone here come up with a better solution for seals?

I use a Dow Corning O-ring lubricant that withstands the temperature seen in that location. It Works very well.
