    The only question I have to those of you who are more experienced with restoration of antique motorcycles is can damage like this actually be restored?

    Restored to look original, yes. Actually used, not a good choice. Intense heat changes so much of the molecular structure of those pieces that strength is very compromised, heat treating lost, etc...

        Look what the heat did to the springer top spring, Larry.

        Abscence of soot suggests the chassis has been cleaned extensively;

        Just hope they didn't hose it down hot.

          I can see that the heads began to melt.

            I saw a 36EL that was caught in that strange wildfire that happened in Superior and Louisville CO a couple of years ago. The crankcases and trans case melted into puddles.
