1936 RLD Build front/rear wheel/brake options?

1st pic shows shift cam with cutout for the pin on '38-'39.It would have indents for the 1940 detent.2nd pic looks like silver/grey gears 1939-'40.'38 gears are black,so most likely 1939 with many issues.

Thank you very much for the additional information. I appreciate all of the input and feedback. Does the combination work with my setup? Should I go through it and put it together as a '39 trans? Are there any reference books for rebuilding this trans that you are aware of?

Yes '39.
I don't think a '36 tank shift gate will work with that trans.'37 is diff than '38-'40

Thank you. I have been looking through your FaceBook page. You have uploaded some excellent information and I am learning quickly. I appreciate your patience with all of my questions. I hadn't thought about the shift gate compatibility so thanks for the heads up on that.
