45 Restoration sells a nipple that screws right onto the fuel outlet on your tank, then fuel line with hose clamp. That said, I installed a steel line about 6 years ago, never an issue and I beat the snot out of my bike. I wouldn't worry about it, just install as stated with no stress on the line and go have fun.

Rubber lines are every bit as prone to cracking as steel.
Perhaps more so.

FWIW, they now make ethanol-resistant fuel hose. It has green writing on it.AMCA #41287
