    was the original rear brake hub cast or pressed steel I am seeing some aftermarket with both options

    The flanges on the 35 to 1939 wheels hubs were cast steel. Staring in 1940 they used drop forged steel. Jerry

        That is going to be spendy. They call them 'step hubs' and they can be hard to find. Jerry

          I am sorry i called the question wrong I meant was the rear brake DRUM cast or pressed metal. I have the correct step hubs thanks again if you can help

            The drum was stamped steel, not cast. Cast drums first appeared on the '58 models as a running change necessitated by the new hydraulic braking system.
            The front drum on a '37 is also stamped, not cast.
