  • ‘35 VL oil control

So I know 2 pumps gets 3 oz in the engine. How do I adjust how much oil adds because when I drain the oil there is often 6-9 oz …so too much. How do I adjust to regulate this. Thank you.

H D Ace, If I remember correctly you have previously mentioned that you had Steve Slocombe's excellent book about ALL things VL. If you don't then you SHOULD. It tells in great detail about all the adjustments of the oil pump and most all part #s .
Just about everything you could ever want or need to know about the VL. It's our bible so to speak. Hope this helps......Smitty

Thanks Smitty. Read through the section numerous times. Seems to be the only djustment is the chain oiler screw which controls oil bleeding on to chain. Could someone confirm that that is the only adjustment. Also confirm that the further out the screw is the more oil that will bleed. Thank you.
