working on a 1937 ul. needing a cam cover anyone have any experience with a aftermarket cam cover

Not the UL, but I bought the ribbed Knucklehead cam cover from V-Twin and sent it back. Was not even close to original look. Just make sure that you check out their return policy before buying.

Welcome to the forum ldfly112, I saw your other post and it sounds like you've had some nice rides. I'm currently working on getting my 40 UA back on the road. I don't know anyone with an original cam cover for sale, but you should be able to get a repop at AAOK. https://aaok.com/index.php/motor-fla...ver-parts.html. I've bought some parts from them for my bike and so far they seem pretty good. You could also try posting your request in the "wanted" section of this forum.

Love to see some pictures of your bikes!

It will (although the alignment with the shafts may not be perfect).
Check the flutter valve for free movement and replace if needed.
