  • clutch slipping - stock 45'

I just put my transmission and motor back into the frame after a clean-up. After installing the primary chain I thought I should kick the motor over to make sure everything was in place. When I kick it it does turn the motor over, but on the compression kick it looks like the clutch is slipping. Is it as simple as adjusting the clutch plates via the 3 bolts or is it possible the clutch needs new plates?

The motor has new pistons and rings, so I suspect the compression is pretty decent. I haven't run this bike since I bought it.

    Thanks,

Adjust the clutch as per the manual. 45 clutches are as beefy as a big twin and they don't make enough power to over stress them.
