  • How to tell if a skull dash is OEM or repop

I did some searches and had no success so here we go!

I've been looking at a couple different skull dash covers for my 1937U model. I've never held a real one and would appreciate some some help. What do you look for to tell if one is the real McCoy? I dont see myself being able to afford one anytime soon, but would like to learn more about what I'm looking at.

My first thought is this one is OEM for 2 reasons. Most repops do not have the windows frame spot welded on the bottom and the dent that I circled Skull.jpg is OEM for 37 and usually not in a repop. The big give away is the 'nose' just below the speedo opening.
