    Need help identifying

    This thing was at the bottom of a milkcrate of Harley 45 parts, along with some other weird stuff. I know it is not a Harley flathead part but have no idea what it is. Don't want to throw it in the scrap metal bin before I know what it is? Help? IMG_1864.JPGIMG_1865.JPGIMG_1865.JPG

    That looks to be a 1916-24 Excelsior pinion shaft with a pre 15 X pinion gear stuck on each end.

      gharper, Thank you for the reply! I am sure I would not have identified it by nosing around on the internet. Never know what you find at the bottom of parts crates.

        The gears are tough to find not chewed up or split at the key slot from overtightening.
