Champion UD-16: That's what they were called when I first found my UL Flathead, about 50 years ago. They're 18mm sparkplugs that were used by Fordson Tractors, among other things, which lead to their still being available at auto parts stores in the 'States. Still available, called just 'D-16,' today. They help keep our Flatties and Knuckleheads alive.
Bring that up because I can't keep from changing my old bag-of-bolts. Unless it's in a museum, it's never "done." I just came into a pair of new-made 9-bolt aluminium heads (Look like iron heads on the outside, KR heads on the underside) that use 14mm sparkplugs and I want to try 'um out, but I'm sure people with more experience than me know: What's the 14mm equivalent of a Champion D-16? or something even more appropriate (?) Not building a fire-breather, I hope. Just experimenting. Thanks in advance.
