    Hi experts,

    You should have one rocker stud on that side with a nob on the end of it. When installing the front wheel, the nob goes between those two forks to keep the brake from rotating. I hope that makes sense. And I hope that was what you were asking.

        To me it looks like the anti-rattle device they started in 1929?

          That plate gets locked down against the rocker when the axle is tightened. In order for the backing plate to pivot when the rockers actuate due to spring compression it allows the backing plate to 'float" otherwise the whole assembly would be bound up.

            thank you guys..
            I just found that its called slot in brake stabilizer plate. should be fitted over extended end of rocker plate stud....
            will try.
