  • 1949 Harley WL - Floorboard Question

I have original Floorboards with their original black Mats.
If I want to swap for newer Mats I should really buy new boards INSTEAD OF drilling out the original rivets and riveting on new mats; right?
I think I need to preserve these originals and rivets are what keeps the mats to the boards it seems.

Anyone have a spare set of boards to sell?
I want to run white rubber on the bike for a bit; as it is too black all over.

    Thanks!
    Matt Allyn

I believe that Paughco sells new boards with mats installed. At least they used to.

White footboard mats did not exist before 1961.
