Harley RL Early WL Horn Mount Question

I have these two types of horn mounts for an RL / early WL.
Notice that the one stye has an extra tab and hole for mounting something.
Can anyone tell me what the purpose, years etc the one with the extra tab is for.

Dear Mark, these are for the 1936-39 Harley small twin with the I-beam forks as you probably know. The one with the hole I have seen before and is possibly Servicar. I had this discussion with Wheels Through Time a few years back and they may have a more definite conclusion.

Yes, they are the longer 45 version as opposed to the shorter length used on the V series.

Palmers book page 846 prototype 1939 servicar has a screw in that position.Maybe because ride control could now fit with towbar in '39 & it holds wires ????Interesting that the '38 W pics show a hole in the side but nothing attached.'37 does not have the side hole??That would indicate the other brackets were actually '36-'37

It appears to be an electrical terminal.
