Dear Steve, here's a possibly nos 1930/31 generator end cover I used as a pattern when making new ones. It has a noticeable step compared with the 1932 and up ones, and is dipped in black enamel like the 32E. It does not have the slot for the adjusting lever as 1929. The early VL generator does not have terminals on the body like the 32E, so the two wires creep out from under the end cover.IMG_1903 (2).jpgIMG_1904 (2).jpg -
