  • Very early Knuckle/BT Flathead frame question

I just acquired a frame I plan to use for my 38UH108x Flathead, and I'm surprised to find it has the 2" wide braces for the seat post. It has the 1" upper frame strut for the neck and the front motor mount is brazed, not arc welded. The brake crossover shaft has the grease fitting outboard at 12 o'clock. In scouring the older posts, I found where Steve Little mentioned that very early '38s may have still had the 2" seat post braces. Can anyone confirm or debunk this?
