  • 1949 WL 45 Jiffy Stand Frame Fitting

is the Jiffy Side Stand BUSHING supposed to fit tightly in the frame?
My new bushing is somewhat loose; thus the stand itself only stays on the bike with its nut in place.
Just wondering if this is normal OR if the hole in the frame is over-sized for some reason.
    Thanks!

As I told you on another forum..

The bushing fits a bit loose in the casting. If you look at the bushing it is machined in a slight barrel shape, the bore in the casting is straight. This allows the stand to pivot a bit up and down. That is built into the design.
