1949 WL 45 Jiffy Stand Spring Plate

I have a new Spring Plate; it's a bit taller than stock & has the cutout for the return spring to ride through.
BUT....It seems to want to rub at the base of the Generator.
Anyone have this issue?
I guess I may need to cut down & weld it, so it is not as tall?

Try relocating the complete assembly in reference to the frame.
