37 BT ignition switch

I would love to get a key cut for the original switch.

Is the key blank a Briggs & Stratton like earlier fork locks?

I have a good locksmith friend and am trying to give him all the info I can ahead of time.

If your switch is an original it is a Briggs and Stratton cylinder and will have a code stamped into it. Something like B2 over 36. I know of at least 2 AMCA members who can make you a key from that code.

Unless it is a Panhead switch. They have no key code as they had no tumblers in the lock. The key locked the fork.

That's what I thought Jwl, and I gave the numbers to my locksmith guy and he did not seem like they meant anything, I guess he's not the crack shot I thought he was.

Can someone get me the info to get in touch with the board members who can do this please

Terry Marsh would be the man. He rebuilds H-D switches as well, and does first class work. I don't think he has a website, but he is an AMCA member.
