  • 1949 WL - Jiffy Stand

Around 1,000 miles on my 1949 WL Solo.
Had installed new Jiffy Stand & Spring.
While riding the stand dropped down and was dragging on the street.
Kicked it up and made it home OK, without it falling again.
    Maybe it was a fluke.
Maybe the repo spring is starting to fail?
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks
    Matt Allyn

If after kicking your dragging jiffy stand back up in place, you say it stayed there. You may have accidentally bumped it loose when putting your left foot down like at a stop sign, just enough to have it later drop all the way down. Best way to tell is does it feel solid in the up position? If not, time for a new spring.

    Good luck

Just replaced the spring yesterday. Feels much better now.
      Thanks!
