    What pistons do I have?

I have two pistons with H.D.M.co. 317-388 LO-EX REG. T.M.S LYNITE A.C.OF A. .040 OVER. Does anyone know what they fit. They came with a project 32 VL and if they are HD pistons I would like to get the correct pins, locks and rings and use them. Thanks.

Thank you, how hard is it to find rings and pins? These 3 ring grooves are 1/8"

It's impossible, obama had all the old parts destroyed, order new ULH pistons from JP, measure cylinder id to order correct size.

You can find nos piston pins and locks and I could sort through a box of old nos and used rings for you. Check the piston diameter, which should be about 3.46". The 38 in the casting number suggests these are the replacement 1938 style pistons with the strutted skirt, which should be better than the ones used when the VL was in production.
