Anyone have a suggestion for a good rattle can paint for jugs & heads ( semi gloss black ) . Thank you , Mike

VHT barrel paint

I can only find the VHT Barrel paint in gloss or satin but not semi-gloss. Is the satin more like flat or semi gloss?

I use the gloss. It's also good on mufflers and even exhaust pipes.

H-D painted everything gloss black. They never used a semi-gloss or satin paint. That just comes about naturally through aging.

The problem is that some of these modern gloss black engine enamels are too glossy. They have a wet, plastic look which isn't right. I have a couple of well preserved NOS cylinders that are gloss but not too glossy .
