I have a 1942 WLA. The battery box attaches to a tab on the seat post. The box has two tabs close together that seem too narrow to go around the seat post tab. Is that how it is supposed to attach? Or, do the box tabs go on one side of the seat post and a spacer of some sort go between to take up the space?

    Thanks All

The tabs on the box should be tight against each other, no spacers. Look at the tab on the seatpost from above and you will see it is offset for the box to bolt to it.
