I have a stock 1949 WLA.
I have an aftermarket, but new Speedometer within the dash.
At less than 1,000 miles it seems to be playing dead.
I need to remove the cable from the back of the bike and spin it to see if the Speedo moves.
If it moves, than I know it is the drive unit in the rear.
If it does not move, than I know that it is the new Speedo that has failed.
And so...
Do I replace the Speedo with another aftermarket item?
Do I have the Speedo repaired?
Do I replace the Speedo with an OEM / Rebuilt one that is probably WAY expensive?
(And who would I find one from?)
Thanks!
