    VL seat T-bar

I'm trying to figure when Harley added the lower small seat plate reinforcement on the seat T-bar. Did they add this reinforcement plate when they switched from 4 hole seat plate to 6 hole ? Thanks.

Yes, that's what I think, that the improvement was made for the 1934 model year when Harley switched from the Mesinger half pan seat to the full pan seat and put another hole in the rear seat plate. The plate rivet 0318 would change to the longer 0319 at the same time, as it had more metal to go through. The 1930-40 parts book does not pick up on this change, but you can see it in the 1936-47 parts book.
