Where does the VL negative post ground to on the frame?

OK, I guess I should have looked at the wiring diagram before asking. It is a yellow wire that runs from the battery to the ammeter in the dash.

Dear John, on earlier bikes it grounds through the dash base and the forks. In 1935 Harley sent out a Shop Dope reporting blown headlight bulbs, and advising a separate ground wire be run from the ammeter to the control coil clip 3344-25 at the top left of the frame. This was to be applied to earlier bikes as well. I reckon this was complicated by the new white face ammeter where, at least on the repros, the terminals are reversed with respect to the bar and shield style. This is not shown in the 1934-36 Riders Handbook wiring diagram.
