Hello,
I am restoring a 1949 wl and the frame I have, has had work done to it and the upper cross tubes (where the tanks fit through) need to be replaced. I have cut the tubes and started the process of removing the old tubes from the casting. My question is, how do you guys get the old tubes out of the castings without damaging the castings? I have been using a dremel tool with a grinder bit and it is time consuming and hard to tell where the old tube ends and the casting begins. I am willing to keep on this way but if anyone has any advise I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks. Ben White
