1949 WLA numbering

Regarding my 1949 WLA - Serial number 49 WLA 3633

Many thanks to Troy who has helped out establishing further numbering information.

It would appear that this would have been production build number 162, giving a rear mud-guard number W6152449, or very near.

As these went to Korea has anybody any idea what would have been on the front mudguard, and rear under the tombstone light. as per Bruce Palmers guide.

Also the picture in Bruce Palmer's book has TP-29 on the luggage rack, I assume this is tyre pressure, would this be reproduced on the front mud guard.

I have no preference for any particular unit or designation, but a little history would be good

If you are restoring the bike to factory condition if would have nothing anywhere on the OD paint. Different commands dictated what was painted on the machine once it got to them.
