What side of the coil Positive or negative does the wire from the timer go? Also the wire from the dash light switch goes to what dash terminals?

A coil is wired the same way as your battery. If the negative post of your battery goes to ground then the negative post of your coil goes to ground thru the points. You will have to look in your manual for the answer to the second part of your question. I do not remember.
