  • Where Does 1942 WLC Voltage Regulator Mount???

    Hey Guys
I just got a 1942 WLC and the previous owner had bolted the Voltage Regulator to the battery box.
I'm trying to re-wire the bike and I want to locate the Voltage regulator in the correct place.
Can anyone shed some light on this???
I purchased a mount from 45 Restoration (see photo attachmnt) but I can't figure out if it will work, and if
    so where it would mount???
    Thanks
    Don

It looks like you have a 12 volt system judging by the -65 Bosch style regulator. That mount hangs off the end of the generator, at any rate.

The WLA didn't use a regulator. They had a cutout relay that was mounted on the engine.

The original cut out relay mounts on the front of your engine cases inside of the front exhaust pipe.
