  • 1946 shock absorber

Working on a '46 WL with the front shock absorber. I want to refinish it but have not seen the rubber grommets any where. I doubt if I can get them out without destroying them. Is there a source for the rubber? Thanks Mike

Doesn't Old Dude have them? I think Deb Palmer does too. They are out there.
How pliable are yours? They come out fairly simply if they have a bit of life left in them. Gently pry down an edge and squirt a lubricant into the cavity slowly working your way around. Then push them out with a socket or the like that is larger than the center hole but not as large as the outside.

You are right, Deb does have them, $11.00 will take you all the way. Thanks for the lead.
